Why it's worth it

Not the most spec-heavy at $349.99, but Bowflex's support network and staircase adjustment mechanism are genuinely convenient.

From our review of 10 adjustable weight benches, by Eleanor Vance, Health & Beauty Editor

What we like

  • +Staircase single-pull adjustment mechanism is fast and tool-free
  • +Strong brand warranty and accessible customer support
  • +Wide retail presence allows in-store testing before purchase
  • +600 lb capacity is sufficient for most intermediate home gym users

What to know

  • –Only 6 back positions — fewer than key competitors at $349.99
  • –No decline position on standard configuration
  • –Price is high relative to capacity when compared to newer direct-to-consumer brands
