Why it's worth it

The JOYTUTUS extends to about 47 inches and its head rotates through 270 degrees across seven locking angles. It packs a brush, squeegee, ice scraper, a storage bag and gloves, and the aluminum pole is triangular rather than round.

This is the one to get if you drive something tall. The extra reach over the Snow MOOver is the whole point — an owner with a Chevy 2500 HD reports being able to work the full roof from a standing position, which is exactly the scenario where a shorter brush leaves you climbing on a running board in the dark.

The rotating head does more than it looks like it does. Car and Driver's testing found pivot-head brushes cut total clearing time on a full-size SUV by roughly 28% compared with a fixed head of the same length. You lock the head flat to sweep a roof, then angle it to work a windshield, without walking around the car. Seven positions is more than you'll use, but two or three of them matter a lot.
