Why it's worth it

This is a full-back Shiatsu cushion with eight rotating nodes and optional heat that comes on at the nodes themselves. It's the only pick here that does real deep-tissue work instead of buzzing at the surface, which matters if you sit for 45 minutes or more at a stretch.

The eight rotating nodes do something the vibration cushions can't. Vibration motors shake the surface of your muscles. Rotation nodes press and knead, the way a thumb would. If your lower back tightens up on a long highway stretch, that difference is the whole point. The nodes travel up and down your back, so you're not stuck with relief in one narrow band.

Spot massage is the feature you'll actually use. You can lock the nodes onto your lower back and leave them there, or pick upper back, or let them run the full length. Most drivers have one specific sore spot, usually right above the belt line. Being able to park the massage there instead of cycling past it every 20 seconds is worth more than another mode setting.
