Why it's worth it
Shark's two-brushroll system keeps long hair from wrapping, and a dirt sensor bumps the power up so you don't have to. It's sold renewed, which is how it lands in the mid-range, and it skips the fully sealed filtration the Dysons have.
PowerFins HairPro is the closest thing here to the Dyson's de-tangling. Two brush rolls share the work: a finned one that digs into carpet pile and a softer one that sweeps fine dust off hard floors. Shark cites third-party testing showing hair stays untangled from the floor all the way through to the dust cup, not just at the brush entry. For long dog hair, that's the claim that counts.
Clean Sense IQ takes the power decision off your plate. An infrared sensor reads how dirty a patch of floor is and raises suction when it finds something hiding. You don't have to remember to change modes at the carpet's edge. Shark puts the improvement at up to 50% better pickup versus its own cordless in Eco mode, and an indicator tells you when an area is finally clean.
