Why it's worth it

Lisle's 40210 holds 28 3/8-inch sockets, standard and deep, in one flat magnetic holder. It's not a parts tray in the usual sense, but if loose sockets are your actual frustration, nothing else here touches it.

Sockets are a separate organizational problem, and this solves it. Twenty-eight compartments cover a full 3/8-inch set — standard and deep, up to 1 inch or 24mm — laid out so the sizes are visible without picking anything up. Owners describe going from several minutes of digging through a drawer to just reaching for the right one. Several liked it enough to immediately buy the 1/4-inch version too.

The flat, low profile is the underrated part. It's about an inch tall, so it fits in a shallow tool chest drawer where vertical socket rails won't go. Owners with short drawers call that out specifically. One reports it holding sockets through the bumps of a work-truck drawer without spilling, which is a harder test than a stationary bench.
