Why it's worth it

It works exactly as advertised.

From our review of 5 electric spice grinders, by David Sinclair, Managing Editor

What we like

  • +Ships with two dedicated removable stainless steel grinding bowls—one permanently for coffee, one for spices
  • +Dual-bowl design completely eliminates flavor cross-contamination between coffee beans and aromatic spices
  • +Removable bowls allow the same mess-free powder transfer benefit as the Cuisinart SG-10
  • +200-watt motor handles everyday spice grinding tasks reliably

What to know

  • –Housing build quality feels marginally less solid than the KitchenAid BCG111OB at a similar price point
  • –Loudest grinder in our test at approximately 85 decibels during operation
  • –Individual bowl capacity is smaller than the KitchenAid's single 4-ounce bowl
