Why it's worth it

This telescopic pole clips onto a Kärcher window vacuum and gets it up to the top of stairwell glass, conservatory panels and skylights without a ladder. It's an accessory rather than a standalone cleaner, so it only makes sense alongside one of the picks above.

Tall glass is where handheld window vacuums stop being fun. A stairwell window or the upper half of a conservatory means a ladder, a wet tool in one hand, and a job you keep putting off until spring. The pole fixes that by putting the vacuum on the end of a shaft you extend from the floor. You stay planted, and the awkward panes stop being a project.

It only earns its place if you actually have height to clean. For a shower screen and a few standard windows, it's dead weight in a cupboard.
