Why it's worth it

The WV 1 Plus arrives as a full setup: the vacuum, a spray bottle with a washable microfibre pad, a charger, and a bottle of glass cleaner concentrate. It's light enough for overhead work and simple enough that anyone in the house can pick it up and use it.

The box is the reason this one is easy to recommend. Plenty of window vacuums leave you sourcing a spray bottle and a decent microfibre cloth on your own, and the mismatch shows up as streaks. Kärcher includes the bottle, the machine-washable pad that clips onto it, the charger and a 16.9-ounce bottle of concentrated glass cleaner. You open it, charge it, and start on the shower door.

Kärcher rates the battery at up to 25 minutes of cordless run time, and an LED tells you where the charge stands rather than dying mid-pane. In practice that covers a bathroom, a car windscreen, or a run of ordinary double-glazed windows in one go. If you're working through a whole conservatory, you'll be plugging it in partway.
