Why it's worth it

The Casanova Supreme is a 42-inch fan built for a room around 10 by 10 feet. It moves 2,812 CFM at high, reverses for winter, and uses a standard bulb socket behind opal schoolhouse glass instead of a sealed LED panel.

A 42-inch fan is the right size for a small room. Westinghouse rates it for spaces up to about 100 square feet — a kid's bedroom, a home office, a guest room. Hanging a 52-inch fan in a room that size puts blade tips uncomfortably close to the walls and doesn't buy you comfort. Matching span to square footage is the single easiest thing to get right.

60 CFM per watt is respectable for an AC motor. The fan moves 2,812 CFM on high while pulling 47 watts without the light. That efficiency ratio is published right on the listing, which is more than most budget fans bother to disclose. For a room this size, that's plenty of air without a lot of blade noise.
