Why it's worth it

The Velox Qi2 Mini is a compact, Qi2-certified vent mount with N52 magnets and a silicone-lined clip, and it ships with a 20W USB-C adapter. It charges at up to 15W like our top pick, but takes up noticeably less room on a crowded dash.

Small is the whole point. The Velox Qi2 Mini weighs about a third of what our top pick does, and the mounting face is barely bigger than the magnet ring itself. In a compact car, or one where the vents sit low next to the center screen, that's the difference between a mount you can see past and one that's always in the corner of your eye.

The grip is better than the size suggests. iOttie uses N52 magnets, the strongest common grade, and wraps both the face and the vent prongs in silicone so the clip bites the blade instead of sliding on it.
