Why it's worth it

Speed is the reason to skip a generic Qi pad. A top-up that takes an hour here can take closer to two on a plain pad, and if you charge in twenty-minute bursts before heading out, the gap is the whole point.

Two meters sounds like a boring spec until you try charging on a nightstand with the outlet behind the bed.
