Bedsure Heated Blanket Full Size, Soft Electric Blanket with Preheat, Grey

Why it's worth it

Bedsure's full-size blanket has flannel on one face and sherpa on the other, so it's soft enough to use unplugged. Its preheat mode warms the bed and then steps the heat down over the next eight hours, and the ETL listing plus an eight-hour shut-off cover the safety basics.

Most nights you don't want to think about heat settings. Bedsure's preheat mode handles it for you: press it, and the blanket runs hot to warm the bed, then settles to level 6 for two hours and level 4 for six. That's an eight-hour arc shaped like a night's sleep, with no fiddling once you're under it. If you'd rather drive manually, there are six heat levels and six timers, from one hour up to 10.

It's the softer of the two full-size blankets here. The top is 220 GSM flannel and the back is 200 GSM sherpa, so you pick a texture depending on the night. Unplugged, it reads as an ordinary blanket, which the thinner fleece bed blankets can't really pull off. That makes it the one you can leave folded at the foot of the bed in warm weather without it looking like an appliance.
