Why it's worth it

The CURT 57260 converts a vehicle's 7-way RV blade socket to a 6-way round trailer plug, including auxiliary power on the center pin. It's the adapter for older horse, stock, and utility trailers that never got upgraded.

Six-way round connectors are still everywhere on older horse trailers, stock trailers, and equipment haulers. Your truck almost certainly has a 7-blade. This adapter bridges those two without rewiring anything on either end, and it carries the full set of circuits: taillights, brake lights, turn signals, electric trailer brakes, and auxiliary power through the center pin.

The connection is tight, and that's the whole point of an adapter.
