Why it's worth it

The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless pairs the most accurate sound tuning in this group with real noise cancellation and a battery system that never leaves you tethered. Its OLED base station handles console switching, EQ and charging without you touching a menu.

Nothing else here sounds this correct out of the box. Tom's Hardware measured its frequency response within ±3dB of neutral from 100Hz to 10kHz, among the flattest tunings they've recorded on a gaming headset. In practice that means dialogue sits where it should, footsteps don't get buried under explosions, and music doesn't sound like it's coming through a subwoofer. If you want to change that, SteelSeries includes a parametric EQ, which is a level of control most gaming software doesn't bother with.

The Infinity Power System is the feature you'll appreciate most on a Tuesday night. Two batteries ship in the box: one lives in the headset, the other charges in the base station. When the first one runs low, you swap it in about five seconds and keep going. Individual battery life is short compared to the rest of this group, so this isn't a headset you can ignore. But you'll never sit out a session waiting for a charge either.
