Why it's worth it

The Hulkman Alpha85S warms its own cells before delivering current, which is rated to keep it working down to -40°F. A 3.3-inch display shows voltage, charge and error codes instead of making you interpret a row of LEDs.

This is the only pack here that does something about the cold instead of just surviving it. Every lithium jump starter loses a big chunk of output below 14°F. The Alpha85S's Pre-Heat sequence brings the cells up to a working temperature before it passes current, no cabin warm-up step, no waiting in the driver's seat with a jump pack under your coat.
